Ralph Fiennes Season 2025 at Theatre Royal Bath

The Ralph Fiennes Season at the Theatre Royal Bath expands from late June to mid October 2025 and includes the world premiere of two new plays by wellknown playwrights (David Hare and Rebecca Lenkiewicz), a new production of Shakespeare's As You Like It and performances by Patti Smith and Kae Tempest.
Ralph Fiennes' season as artistic director at the Theatre Royal Bath begins late June with the opening night of David Hare's latest play, Grace Pervades, about the lives of Ellen Terry, Henry Irving, and Terry's sons, Eddie and Teddy, together with their influence on the theatre of their time. Ralph Fiennes will play the actor-impresario Henry Irving in this world premiere from 27th June to 17th July. Two more plays will follow: a Shakespeare classic, As You Like It, which marks the renowned actor's directorial debut and will be seen from 15th August to 6th September; and a new world premiere, this time of award-winning playwright Rebecca Lenkiewicz's latest work, Small Hotel, from 3rd to 18th October, in which Fiennes will be playing the part of a television star whose career is in decline .
The theatre programming includes captioned performances for the hearing impaired, as well as panel discussions about the different plays during the final week of each production, where members of the artistic team and cast will discuss the themes covered in the plays and answer questions from the audience who attends that evening.
The cast of the three plays includes, in addition to the actor-director, such eminent names as Miranda Raison, Harriet Walter, Gloria Obianyo, Dylan Moran, Patrick Robinson, Francesca Anis, and Rosalind Eleazar, among others.
In addition to these stellar theatrical premieres, the season is rounded out with other activities, such as intimate concerts with artists like Patti Smith on 6th July 6 and Kae Tempest on 13th July.
